You will need the following:

Windows XP CD or ISO
Hiren's CD or ISO
USB_MultiBoot_10.zip
Grub4dos.rar

Unpack USB Multiboot 10. After that put your XP disc into your CD drive or mount using powerISO or daemon

Go into the folder that you just unpacked the program to and click the file: USB_MultiBoot_10.cmd:

Press any key to continue...

Since we are using a 4g Flash drive it will need to be formatted so the XP files can be copied to it.

When ready type in "H" and press "ENTER" (note: all files will be lost on flash drive!)

im using 4 gb Flash Drive so i wil format it using HP USB Disk Format Tool

Make sure that your USB drive is in the "Destination Drive"at the top.

You must also name the usb drive label (it will probably already be named, that is fine).

If you follow the settings that I have above in the picture you should be good to go.

Click "Start"

Answer yes to the question

When it finishes click the "Close" button and you will be taken to this window:

- Type in "1" then press "enter" and choose the place where WinXP is (probably your CD drive)

- Type in "2" then press "enter" and choose the place where your flash drive is located.

- Type in "3" and press "enter" and the XP files will be copied to the usb drive. Answer yes to any questions that follow.

While the files are being written to the usb drive eventually one screen will pop up asking you to choose:

*A. Unattended Install - UserName = YourName
in winnt.sif file - unattendswitch="Yes" - UserName is used Automatically
useraccounts.cmd with UserName is created in $OEM$ Folder copied to USB-drive

(Selecting Unattended Install in the Editor instead of Cancel will enable you to skip the Welcome Screens by filling in the information right now.)

*B. Semi-Unattended Install - UserName = None
in winnt.sif file - unattendswitch="No" - UserNames are given Manually at Windows Welcome Screens
useraccounts.cmd is Renamed to Inactive txt file in $OEM$ Folder copied to USB-drive

*C. Cancel - In all cases Selecting Cancel keeps given Settings for winnt.sif file and $OEM$ folder Unchanged

If you'd just rather fill in the information during the actual install of WinXP on your PC it's the same exact thing as choosing Unattended Install, Unattended Install just allows you to fill in the information now instead of later.

Finish for Creating Bootable USB Windows XP Setup

Press any key to continue...

Now to add Hiren's BootCD 10.4

Insert Hiren's BootCD to your CD Drive or Mount using PowerISO/Daemon

Right Click on your Hiren's Drive and click Explore to view the contents

copy HBCD and autorun.inf to your USB flash Drive

copy "gldr" and "Menu.lst" to your USB Flash Drive..

Now you have a multiboot USB flash drive with Windows XP setup and Hiren's BootCD..

You have to Set you BIOS to boot from USB Flash Drive..

If you are having problem on changing boot order in bios, please refer Change the Boot Order in BIOS document.

if you like to add Windows 7
just copy the contents of your Windows 7 CD to your USB then add this to menu.lst

Code:
title Windows 7
root (hd0,0)
chainloader /bootmgr

USB_MultiBoot_10.cmd is NOT able to identify the Target Drive as a Valid Drive.
This is due to that the program has no access to fsutil.exe
Should be present in C:\WINDOWS\system32

If fsutil is in C:\WINDOWS\system32 then you can try this...

Extract fixpath.zip, say in c:\FIXPATH, open cmd in that folder and run FIXPATH.EXE or just use explorer to run it, let it finish, reboot and try again USB_multiboot script.

Download:
fixpath.zip

Please report if that helped.

try WinSetupFromUSB-0.1.1.exe instead of USB multiboot10...

WinSetupFromUSB is a GUI (Prettier) version of this USB Multiboot10. Format your drive in Windows to FAT32 or NTFS (NTFS will be faster in the text mode of setup), and select your Windows XP CD in WinSetupFromUSB, your window should look like this:

Go ahead and click the GO button.

At this point you may receive an error about the MBR (especially if you can only format your drive to FAT32), just ignore that and go ahead. All of your files will be copied to the USB FlashDrive.

That's It.

Now when you go to install from the USB, the startup may look a little different, but has the same principle:

* Boot to the USB and select “First Part of installation”
* Format the drive you want to install to
* let XP do the text mode setup of the install (that blue screen with the yellow bar), and reboot
* Select “2nd Part of Installation” and it will go through the graphic part of the install
* Reboot

To Create a Bootable Usb With WIn7 and Hirens... Follow this Instruction

1) Connect your flash drive.

2) Download and run usb_format.zip (34 KB). Follow the steps in the first screenshot.

3) Download and run grub4dos.zip (160 KB). Follow the steps in the second screenshot

4) Copy grldr and menu.lst (from HBCD folder of the CD) to the usb drive.

5) Put Hiren's BootCD (9.7 or newer) into the CD Drive and copy everything from CD to USB Flash Drive. Now the contents of your USB Flash Drive should look like as in the third screenshot.

now we have a Bootable USB with Hirens BootCD,...

Now to add Windows 7 Setup

Put Windows 7 CD into the CD Drive and copy everything from CD to USB Flash Drive
then Open the menu.lst in your USB Flash Drive and add the following

Code:
title Windows 7
root (hd0,0)
chainloader /bootmgr

then save...

Thanks. That worked! Although I do have another error... I plug in my USB drive and my cpu boots from it... I load the 'Hirens Boot CD' and click on 'Dos Programs'. No matter which one of the utilities I try to load once I'm in 'Dos Programs' it tells me that the HBCD folder can not be found.
